Daniel Chavez is the only attorney in Sonoma County to be board-certified in immigration and nationality law by the state of California. Family-Based Immigration
We assist people seeking visas, green cards or citizenship based on family relationships. We handle matters involving marriage adjustments, sibling (brother or sister) immigration applications, foreign adoptions and adult children of U.S. citizens. Other Immigration Services

- People seeking non-immigrant visas. If you are planning on visiting the U.S. for a limited amount of time for pleasure, school or work, we can assist you in filing for a temporary visa.
- Diversity visa (lottery) applicants. If you are immigrating from a qualified country with low numbers moving to the United States, we can help you apply for the annual Diversity Lottery (DV) Program. If randomly selected from the applicant pool, you will receive one of 55,000 visas that allows you to permanently live and work in the U.S. You will be allowed to bring your spouse and an unmarried children under the age of 21 with you.
- People seeking to reopen their cases. We assist people who would like to reopen their case after a denial due to changed circumstances or because they received ineffective assistance from their prior lawyer.
- Victims of crime. We provide immigration representation to individuals who have been victims of crime in the United States or in their home countries, including claimants under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). We also work with people who have suffered from rape, torture, domestic violence, female genital mutilation, slave trade, human trafficking, or who face serious danger because of their cooperation in prosecuting crimes or terrorist activities.
